Friday, Saturday and Sunday Shift.

Wymondham College Prep School opened in September 2020 on the site of Wymondham College, and in September 2021 opened its brand new boarding house, Underwood Hall, for pupils in Years 5 and 6. The school is part of Sapientia Education Trust (SET), an expanding Trust with 13 Primary and 9 Secondary Schools.

We believe that every child deserves to love their time at school and to remember it fondly. To facilitate this, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring and well‑organised Boarding House Matron to join our rich, rewarding school and boarding house.

Reporting to the Assistant Headteacher – Pastoral & Head of Underwood Hall, a Matron is an integral part of the boarding house staff team and plays a significant role in the personal development of the pupils under their care. Wymondham College Prep School provides outstanding boarding care for its pupils, and a vibrant, inspiring team of boarding house matrons is vital to continued success.

Boarding House Matrons assist the House leadership team with the care of both boarding and day pupils, with particular responsibility for the health and well‑being of boarders and supervision of boarders during the evenings, overnight and mornings.

This Matron post is for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and the postholder is required to sleep overnight at Underwood Hall Boarding House.
