Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Permanent Works design for structures, highways, geotechnics and infrastructure, as part of an integrated design and construct offering, temporary works consideration, above and below ground in all materials, integrated with permanent works design as applicable.
• Supporting tender and bid submissions with outline designs, feasibility studies, and value engineering solutions.
• Conducting technical assessments and reviews of third-party designs to ensure they meet client and Kier requirements.
• Undertaking site visits, surveys, and inspections, and providing technical advice on safety and construction matters.
• Managing project deliverables including calculations, CAD drawings, reports, and risk assessments while maintaining quality standards.

• You have completed a relevant professional institution IPD (such as IEng, Eng Tech, or CEng) with relevant experience, or hold a Level 6 or 7 qualification with appropriate experience.
• You hold a full UK driving licence.
• You are committed to acting safely, ethically, and with care for the environment and communities.
