Finance & Business Support Officer | Wymondham | 32-35 hours per week (Monday-Friday) Salary: £28,500 - £30,000 per annum, depending on agreed working hours Our client is a locally run pharmaceutical distribution business known for excellent customer service, reliability, and teamwork. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance & Business Support Officer to become a key member of their team, supporting the Finance Manager in the day-to-day running of the finance and administrative functions.

The role would suit someone who enjoys responsibility, thrives in a fast-paced SME environment, and is comfortable coordinating finance and administrative activity across multiple teams.

The Role You will support key financial processes, maintain accurate records, and assist with reporting and controls, while also acting as a key point of admin coordination across the business. This is a varied, hands-on role offering genuine responsibility from day one. As your knowledge of the business grows, you'll become a trusted point of support for the Finance Manager, confidently managing routine finance and administrative activities and providing cover during periods of absence.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Administration Process supplier invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and efficiently Prepare and issue customer invoices Maintain financial records in Xero and associated systems Assist with bank reconciliations, month-end, year-end, and VAT processes Support credit control and customer payment follow-up Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Ensure timely and accurate financial processing Administration & Business Support Provide administrative support across finance and wider business functions Maintain electronic and paper filing systems Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation Process customer and operational data accurately Support customer and supplier communications Maintain organised, audit-ready records Support company procedures and controlled documentation Operational Support Support the Finance Manager with day-to-day coordination of finance and administrative activities Liaise with warehouse, logistics, and administration teams Assist with customer onboarding administration Provide general operational support as required Compliance & Controls Support GDPR and data protection compliance Assist with internal checks and financial controls Support audit preparation and documentation Ensure accuracy and security of company records Deputising & Cover Responsibilities Provide cover for the Finance Manager during absence Coordinate day-to-day finance and administrative activities during periods of cover, working within agreed authority levels and escalating issues where appropriate.
