Porter​/Handyman

Job Overview

To perform the role of Porter & Handyman. The role will be split between portering duties and assisting with general handyman tasks.

• Assist with the delivery and physical set‑up/taking down of all furniture and equipment for all events and office moves as well as general site maintenance duties.
• Assist in keeping the site clean and tidy, including collection and delivery of waste, goods and items from offices and the post room.
• Willing to do litter picking, road sweeping and office cleaning.
• Assist engineers in their duties where required.
• Ensure all waste streams are segregated, handled, stored and disposed in line with site and collection contractor requirements.
• Use various cleaning equipment to clean specialist buildings wearing full PPE including mask, gloves and coverall.
• Observe local security measures in line with client policies; participate in training and staff development; attend team meetings; be flexible in work patterns, systems and location.
• Adhere to reasonable management requests from line manager or client contact.

• Previous experience in a similar role or environment.
• Fit and healthy, able to lift items up to 25kg.
• Ability to work on a ladder up to 8ft.
• Willing to work overtime or weekend work on an ad‑hoc basis.
• Experienced in lifting and handling furniture and equipment; customer service oriented and a team player.
• Energetic attitude; strong communicator; well groomed.
• Hands on and willing to learn new tasks.
• Willing to go through the police clearance process.
