At Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) , we're entering an ambitious new phase of our Strategy 2030 journey. As a member of our Executive Team, our new Director of Regional Engagement will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation and transforming how we support people affected by spinal cord injury across the UK.

This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most significant developments in SIA's recent history. Over the coming years, we will continue our transition towards a stronger, regionally led model that expands our reach, deepens local connections and ensures more people can access the support, opportunities and community they need to flourish. Working alongside the CEO and Executive Team, you will help shape organisational strategy, culture and delivery, while leading the development of a sustainable national network of regional partnerships, volunteers, community groups and support services.

About the role Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a diverse portfolio encompassing regional support services, volunteering, partnerships, community development and people leadership. This is not a role focused solely on maintaining existing services.

You will help design and implement the next stage of SIA's regional engagement model, influencing how we work with communities, partner organisations and volunteers across the UK. You will:
Lead the development and implementation of SIA's regional engagement strategy and operating model. Drive organisational transformation, helping embed new ways of working and a culture of collaboration, empowerment and impact. Grow and strengthen strategic partnerships with charities, NHS organisations, service providers and other key stakeholders. Expand and develop our network of community groups, volunteers and local advocates. Provide strategic leadership and organisational direction as a member of the Executive Team.

Oversee the People function, supporting workforce planning, leadership development, organisational capability and cultural growth. Ensure SIA's regional presence delivers measurable improvements in reach, engagement and impact. About you We're looking for an inspiring and credible senior leader with the vision, resilience and influence to lead change  will bring:
Significant experience of strategic leadership within the voluntary, public or related sectors. A strong track record of delivering organisational change, transformation and service development.

Experience of working through partnerships, volunteer networks, community organisations or geographically dispersed teams. Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building skills. Experience working with boards, trustees or senior governance bodies. A proven ability to translate strategic vision into operational delivery and measurable outcomes. A collaborative leadership style that enables individuals, teams and communities to thrive. Most importantly, you'll be a values-driven leader who shares our commitment to empowering people, strengthening communities and improving the lives of those affected by spinal cord injury.
