JOB PURPOSEThe Part-Time Student Worker provides administrative and operational support to the office, contributing to day-to-day functions while gaining valuable professional experience. This position is ideal for a reliable, detail-oriented student who is interested in developing workplace skills in a supportive, team-based environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide front-desk and general office support, including greeting visitors and responding to inquiries
- Work on website updates, primarily the College of Education directory
- Assist with scheduling, data entry, filing, and document organization
- Support office communications (email, phone, and basic correspondence)
- Help prepare materials for meetings, events, or projects
- Maintain organization of shared spaces, supplies, and records
- Assist staff and faculty with special projects as assigned
- Some cleaning is required.
E.g. the main office or the boardroom before and after meetings and events.
- Currently enrolled as a student with good academic standing
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional demeanor
- Prior office, customer service, or administrative experience
- Sophomore or Junior enrolled in the College of Education
- Experience working in a higher education or professional setting
- Familiarity with databases, spreadsheets, or scheduling tools
