Job DescriptionEurofins Environment Testing is looking for a Project Manager I to provide client services. The Project Manager I is accountable for coordinating and managing clients’ projects throughout all phases of laboratory operations, including project set‑up and maintenance, login review, communication of analytical issues, client account maintenance, reporting, invoicing, bottle orders, client pickups, and identification of work share facilities. The PM I role fosters and develops client relationships in support of the laboratory mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Project Set‑up
- Review project in LIMS and set up project, add notes, and review documentation such as permits, SOW, QAPP, and purchase/task orders.
- Add documentation to central repository and set up client for Total Access.
- Manage purchase orders, task orders, contracts, and change order requests.
- Verify lab compound lists, limits, and certification meet project requirements.
- Create bottle orders, schedule courier or field sampler, and initiate approval for subcontract labs.
- Provide updates to operations on upcoming work and forecasting.
- Communicate project details to operations, engage work share labs, and provide supporting documentation to client.
- Sample Receipt
- Communicate issues to clients, manage incoming work for rush and short holds, and review log‑ins.
- Resolve login issues, set samples to “available,” and send client sample receipt confirmation.
- Review draft invoice and confirm client information in LIMS for invoicing.
- Reporting
- Manage client-specific report requirements, review job list daily, and communicate expected delays.
- Confirm data anomalies and review reports and EDDS before issuing to client.
- Create and issue final report by client due date, submit data packages, and handle state reporting forms, DMR forms, and EDD checkers.
- Invoicing
- Set up delivery route, review invoices, generate and submit credit/debit memos, and work with collections on A/R follow‑up.
- Initiate follow‑up calls to confirm invoicing accuracy and conduct regular A/R status reviews.
- Client Set‑up
- Communicate lab capabilities to client, request new client review, and confirm sales assignments with BDMs.
- Takes new quote requests, review contracts, and submit purchase orders for approval.
- Follow up on client terms, credit limits, and forward opportunities to sales.
- Account Maintenance
- Follow‑up calls and visits, provide technical support, and use company resources to address client requests.
- Maintain familiarity with company capabilities, forward opportunities, forecast upcoming work, and handle client complaints.
- Quotes & Proposals
- Initiate QAPP review, technical support, and quote generation/approvals.
- Review client quote requests for capabilities, certifications, scope, and pricing.
- Confirm lab placement, certification, and limits; create and send quotes, forecast, and update status in LIMS.
- BS/BA in Chemistry, Sciences, or related field (four years of related experience may substitute).
- 6 months of client‑relationship or customer service experience.
- Preferred bench chemist or field experience; requires additional lab training across multiple departments.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak).
- Familiarity with Eurofins Environment Testing services, products, testing capabilities, and support systems.
- Knowledge of program specifications, laboratory procedures, environmental regulations, and process improvement methods.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, time‑management, and organizational skills.
