Opportunity

Stantec’s Denver-based Environmental Services team is growing, and we are looking for an exceptionally talented and enthusiastic Project Level candidate to join our thriving site investigation and remediation practice. The candidate will perform field and office tasks associated with environmental site assessments, due diligence, and remediation projects, managing site investigation and remediation efforts at selected sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate field activities and subcontractors (labs, private locators, drillers, etc.).
  • Perform Phase I ESA site visits, groundwater sampling, drilling oversight, soil logging and sampling, and asbestos inspections.
  • Represent Stantec by interacting in a professional manner with clients, property owners, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Apply established practices, standards and guidelines to all work.
  • Complete required health and safety training, including OSHA and HAZWOPER (40‑hour).
  • Strictly adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with clients, determining a path forward for select sites.
  • Oversee the implementation of field projects and deliverable preparation.
  • Prepare thorough technical reports and documents from start to finish.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.
  • Maintain proficiency in HSSE policies and procedures and apply them appropriately.
  • Work comfortably outdoors for extended periods in remote locations.
  • Operate safely in adverse weather conditions.
  • Work independently and under pressure, prioritizing and balancing heavy workloads.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, research, analysis, and writing skills.
  • Show familiarity with due diligence, complex assessments, and remediation.
  • Be a self‑starting, team‑oriented problem solver capable of thriving in dynamic, fast‑paced environments.
  • Possess proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to write technical documents.
  • Lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Build and maintain productive professional networking relationships within the technical team.
  • Have experience in data collection and report preparation related to due diligence, site assessment, and remediation.
  • Be willing and able to travel and stay overnight.
  • Hold a good driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Undergo a pre‑employment physical and drug screen as required.
Qualifications
  • BS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related Earth Sciences.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong research, analysis, and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Current 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.

  • Ability to work outdoors and in remote locations, under adverse weather conditions.
  • Strong health and safety discipline.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.

Range
  • CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ – $67,300.00 – $97,600.00 Annually
