Weston County Health Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Newcastle, Wyoming. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients, ensuring accurate and timely results to aid in their medical care.
Qualifications- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in Wyoming or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to employment.
- Proven experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures, with proficiency in operating various imaging equipment.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition and reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including documenting procedures performed and ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and techniques through ongoing education and professional development.
