- Graduate of an ACOTE‑accredited school of occupational therapy.
- Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation
- Basic internet navigation skills
- Valid certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid Occupational Therapist state license (where applicable)
- Optimize patient functionality through direct occupational therapy and program oversight.
- Provide consultation and clinical supervision to COTAs, rehab techs, and assistants.
- Directly supervise COTA and rehab tech work during group and individual treatments, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with state practice acts and OBRA.
- Build and maintain a strong occupational therapy program.
- Enhance clinical expertise and management skills through mentorship, self‑study, and continuing education.
- Maintain a valid state license and stay current on occupational therapy and healthcare environment issues.
- Understand relevant payment models and billing guidelines; provide quality care and realistic goals.
- Adhere to infection control procedures and facility safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively in English (instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, reports).
