Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Manager
About the Role
Join Polaris’ ORV Color & Graphics Team and play a key role in shaping the look and feel of our off‑road vehicles. As a Project Leader
, you’ll drive the development and execution of color and graphics projects across multiple platforms each model year. This is a dynamic, hands‑on role for someone who thrives on project management, cross‑functional collaboration, and delivering exceptional results.
- Lead end‑to‑end project execution for ORV color and graphics programs, ensuring all requirements are defined, documented, and achieved.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet cost, quality, durability, and performance goals.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure flawless execution.
- Facilitate graphics reviews from kickoff through 3D design reviews; attend in‑person sessions as needed.
- Oversee decal development from concept to production, including part creation, approval, and release of drawings/kits.
- Execute and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) structures to reflect model aesthetics and graphics milestones.
- Initiate and monitor validation for new finishes and graphics materials; develop mitigation strategies for high‑risk content.
- Prepare and coordinate engineering change orders for decal modifications.
- Support pilot builds on‑site, providing direction and training to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues related to materials, tolerances, and color verification.
- Own and track program finances (labor, tooling, expenses) and report status regularly.
- Embrace change and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.
- Project Management Expertise:
Proven ability to plan, organise, and execute multiple projects simultaneously. - Technical
Skills:
Familiarity with CAD systems and BOM management preferred. - Strong Communication:
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to influence without direct authority. - Problem‑Solver:
Effective decision‑making and negotiation skills; thrives in ambiguity. - Team Leadership:
Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate cross‑functional teams. - Software Proficiency: MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint; experience with AS400 and PRS (Polaris Release System) is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. - Not

Equivalent experience will be considered. - Minimum 3 years in a business setting with strong process orientation; 2+ years in project management (product development experience preferred).

CompensationThe starting pay range for Minnesota is $76,000 to $100,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
