Job Overview
Fairview is looking for a Security Officer to join our team at our Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN. The Security Officer provides for the safety and security of patients, visitors and staff and property by responding to the needs of hospital patients, visitors and staff, offering assistance and providing excellent customer service standards. Proactively works to prevent theft and vandalism.
May be involved in high-risk situations with exposure to potentially dangerous situations which requires a range of safety precautions.
- 0.8 FTE (64 hours per pay period)
- Day/evening/night shifts
- Every other weekend
- Associate Degree and one year security or law enforcement or military experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field
- 2 years security or law enforcement or military experience
- Pass pre‑assignment training within probationary period
- Valid Class D driver’s license and DMV record meeting Fairview insurability requirements for assignments that require driving
- 2 years of hospital security experience
- Certified Peace Officer (POST)
- Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT‑B)
