GENERAL DESCRIPTIONAs a Public Health Nurse serving Big Horn County
, you’ll have the opportunity to lead community health initiatives in Greybull and surrounding towns across the Big Horn Basin. Public Health Nursing here goes beyond traditional care, you’ll play a critical role in improving access to health services, educating the public, and strengthening the overall health of rural Wyoming communities.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with families, schools, community partners, and local agencies to deliver preventive services, assess public health needs, and connect residents with essential healthcare resources.

Full‑time and Part‑time positions are available.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Conduct nursing assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and evaluations in line with ANA’s Public Health Nursing Standards.
- Arrange and lead community health clinics and health education classes.
- Support public health core functions, prioritizing services that meet community needs.
- Administer adult and child vaccines, provide STI/HIV testing, manage TB testing, and more.
- Provide Ryan White case management, maternal and child home visitation, lactation counseling, and LT‑101 reviews.
- Collaborate with the nurse manager and public health response coordinator on emergency preparedness activities.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.
• Driver’s license required.
- Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of professional nursing.
- Knowledge of the maintenance of medical records, charts, reports, and observations.
- Knowledge of principles of nursing process and scientific process.
- Knowledge of applying medical diagnosis and treatment to patient care.
- Knowledge of scientific concepts as a basis for decision‑making.
- Knowledge of physical, biological, and behavioral sciences.
- Knowledge of evaluation services and programs according to standards.
- Knowledge of work management and leadership theory and practice.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local law pertaining to healthcare.
- Knowledge of public health core functions and essential services.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing
Experience0‑2 years of progressive work experience in Nursing with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
