NuWest is seeking an experienced LPN for a 13-week travel contract on the night shift in a long-term care setting in Lovell, Wyoming. You will provide care to geriatric and dementia residents, working independently with supervisory support available. The ideal candidate is a confident, dependable nurse who is comfortable managing resident care overnight.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications accurately and on schedule, following facility policies and physician orders
- Perform resident assessments, monitor condition changes, and report concerns to the supervising nurse or provider
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric and dementia residents
- Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs, and monitor the quality of resident care
- Document care, medications, and resident status accurately in the electronic medical record
- Perform treatments and procedures such as wound care, vital signs, and specimen collection within LPN scope of practice
- Communicate with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA
- Active LPN license
- Long-term care experience
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
