Youth and Music First Christian Church: FCC is a multigenerational disciple making church located in southeast Wyoming. Over the last 10 years, FCC has seen steady improvement in nearly every area of church growth. From attendance, giving, baptisms, youth, children, etc. have all seen steady growth. 3 years ago, the church was able to hire a part-time children’s minister to meet the ever‑increasing need for children’s ministry throughout the elementary grades.

FCC averages 190 in attendance. FCC values a disciple making culture, emphasis in children’s and youth ministries, sound biblical exegetical preaching, and an authentic worship experience. This is a tremendous opportunity to step into ministry in a strong and stable church culture, with stable leadership. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the church through music and youth.

Job Description:

Emphasis for areas of ministry include but not limited to: 1. Leading music ministry with a capable team of vocalists and musicians.
2. Leading a discipleship‑based youth group for middle school and high school. (this group is currently around 20 students.) Benefits:

Location:

FCC is located in southeast Wyoming, 70 miles due north of Cheyenne on I-25. Wheatland is known for its agricultural roots of farming and ranching. The Dave Johnson Power plant is the largest employer in Platte County. Rocky Mountain National park is 2.5 hours away, the black hills and Mt Rushmoore is an easy 3 hours and Teton/Yellowstone National parks are 6 hour drive.

The Snowy range outside of Laramie is 1.5 hours and boasts the snow range ski area. Wyoming is world famous for its outdoor recreation, blue ribbon trout streams, big game hunting and outstanding camping are all readily available. 2 state parks, Glendo and Guernsey state parks are a 30 minute drive from Wheatland. Wheatland is a town of 3,800 people and Platte county has around 10,000 people.

It is the quintessential small town where neighbors know one another and strong community roots exist. Kids have the opportunity for 4-h activities, trail life and American Heritage girl chapters, youth sports, and public swimming pool.
