Role SummaryThe Aptitude Project Manager 2 leads technology‑related project activities, from concept through delivery. The role requires constructability reviews, conceptual estimating, technology scope integration, bid pricing, change management, and coordination with project teams. As a subject‑matter expert, the manager demonstrates strong leadership and communication to effectively integrate technology scopes on selected projects, supporting JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values.
Key Role Responsibilities – Core- Support the company’s safety culture and promote an injury‑free environment.
- Coordinate technology‑related design and construction efforts to meet constructability, quality, financial, and technical standards.
- Provide technical expertise for design assist, installation, and network integration of systems.
- Create technology‑specific scopes of work and responsibility matrices tailored to individual projects.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and obtain vendor & trade partner pricing to compile accurate budgets or hard bid proposals.
- Manage budgets, costs, and projections related to assigned projects.
- Assist with developing, disseminating, and enforcing Aptitude processes and standards.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members in alignment with JE Dunn’s strategic objectives and core values.
- Support deployment of Aptitude strategies for project delivery to achieve financial, quality, and performance objectives.
- Participate in company‑wide communication programs and strategy sessions to enhance marketing, sales, and delivery of technology‑related services.
- Manage budgets, schedule, staffing projections, billing, and collections for assigned projects.
- Develop and manage a project schedule to identify tasks, resources, and timing for scope, schedule, cost, and quality goals.
- Track and report progress on project milestones with team members, stakeholders, and leaders.
- Communicate, track, and resolve issues promptly throughout the project lifecycle.
- Determine project success metrics and complete post‑project evaluations of performance.
- Ensure proper management and archiving of all project documents upon completion.
- Manage the technology consulting process between JE Dunn, client/owner consultants, and contractors.
- Initiate business development activities to grow the Aptitude contribution.
- Participate and support JE Dunn project pursuit activities to maximize value‑added benefits of Aptitude.
- Identify and develop new technologies that support the Smart‑Building offering of Aptitude.
- Facilitate internal and external training to generate awareness of the Aptitude offering.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, building networks, benchmarking practices, and participating in professional societies.
- Engage local civic organizations and municipal activities to position the Aptitude offering as a differentiator for JE Dunn.
- Assist in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training staff.
- Accurate, timely work completion.

- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong ability to develop project proposals, fees, and work plans.

- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, IT, or a related field (required).
