Position Overview
Project Manager 2025‑03066 – Wyoming Water Development Office (WWDO), State of Wyoming. Full‑time position.
Location:
statewide.
- Act as the Agency’s project manager on assigned construction projects.
- Administer the State’s project agreements with sponsors.
- Review and provide comments on engineering planning studies, construction design and bidding documents, and construction cost estimates.
- Provide concurrence for work change directives, change orders, and engineering amendments.
- Process engineering and construction pay requests.
- Review and comment on owner‑engineer agreements.
- Manage and attend design reviews, pre‑bid meetings, pre‑construction and construction progress meetings.
- Maintain office project files.
- Answer questions related to State policies, procedures and statutes.
- Confer with the supervisor on overall project progress and issues.
- Investigate and oversee complaints related to projects.
- Conduct research and provide information and technical data to the public.
- Apply and interpret rules, regulations, guidelines or standards.
- Maintain ongoing interface with communities at mid‑to‑senior management levels.
- Monitor contractor work progress and resolve conflicts.
- Prepare recommendations for new project applications.
- Prepare project agreements and amendments between the State and the sponsor.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a science, engineering or related field (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of progressive work experience comparable to a Natural Resources Analyst, or 4‑6 years of experience for substitution.
- Preference for applicants with a civil engineering or agricultural engineering degree and experience in municipal water and/or agricultural irrigation design and construction.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wyoming.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.
- Construction contract documents, bidding and contract documents, general and supplemental conditions, technical specifications.
- Public works contracting.
- Open channel and pressure pipeline hydraulic design principles.
- Construction management principles.
- Engineering materials used in water projects.
Overnight statewide travel is required.
