Key Responsibilities- Develop and refine product designs, components, and assemblies using CAD software.
- Conduct design analysis, simulations, and calculations to ensure product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to optimize designs for efficient production processes.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation processes, incorporating feedback into design iterations.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design requirements, cost, and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor, CATIA) for part and assembly design.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal) and material properties.
- Demonstrated experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Proven ability to analyze design requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) or product data management (PDM) systems.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or other simulation software.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Hands‑on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or workshop tools.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
