WSP is seeking a Transportation Planning Engineer who can take on a Project Manager role and contribute to a broad spectrum of transportation planning and engineering projects across Canada and beyond.

• Collaborate with colleagues on projects and opportunities, from data collection and analysis to reporting and supporting your team on a variety of in‑field and in‑office technical tasks.
• Apply best practices and identify innovative solutions in active transportation master planning and design assignments, engineering analyses, and studies for multi‑modal transportation, transit, and traffic projects.
• Develop progressive experience in project management and coordination.
• Work with a multi‑disciplinary team including transportation/traffic engineers, planners, designers, and landscape architects.
• Prepare and/or oversee technical memos and reports to communicate technical results and recommendations.
• Attend and participate in client and public meetings.

• A passion and/or professional interest in transportation and contributing to the planning and design of multi‑modal solutions.
• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Transportation Engineering.
• P. Eng license.
• 5‑8 or more years of experience in the transportation engineering and planning field, including transportation impact assessments, active transportation infrastructure design, project management, and senior engineering responsibilities.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience in traffic operations and site analysis.
• Familiarity with transportation software and methods (e.g., Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, Sidra, VISSIM, VISTRO, Aimsun).
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment and a desire to grow professionally.
• Project management, leadership, communication, and customer‑relationship skills.
