The Wyoming State Penitentiary is seeking an Office Support Specialist – Law Librarian. The Law Librarian provides reasonable and meaningful access to the WSP law library, instructs inmates on how and where to access requested legal information, explains the availability and proper use of legal forms, and guides inmates through the legal research process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Supervise the law library
- E‑filing Federal District Court documents
- Copying/printing, notary, and keep policies and procedures for inmate distribution in the library up to date
- Provide inmates with legal forms for the court
- Conduct legal research via the internet on Lexis NEXIS and other legal sites
- Answer inmate request forms
- Check‑in and check‑out law library material
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable workplace, including participation in initiatives designed to promote a positive work environment
- Preferred qualifications: 2‑year degree and 2 years of work experience with a library background
- Knowledge: organization and management of information, research, indexing, records management, databases, basic principles of education, mainframe and personal computer systems, applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and customer service techniques
- Minimum qualifications: Associate's Degree (typically in Business)
- Experience: 0‑1 year of progressive work experience in Business Office Communications at the Office Assistant II level, OR 2‑4 years of progressive work experience in the same area

- Walking on cement floors and stairs on an occasional basis, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching on an occasional basis.
- Reaching, typing, repetitive motion, talking, hearing, and seeing are frequent duties.
