General Description
The Wyoming Veterans' Home is seeking a motivated LPN to provide quality health care to persons with mental health, dementia, and medical needs in a home‑like setting. This is a full‑time position and an excellent opportunity for a rewarding career with solid pay and benefits.

Essential Functions- Provides professional nursing services to residents in chronic and acute care settings.
- Performs nursing assessments, diagnoses, treatment & evaluation of ill and disabled persons.
- Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered.
- Assists patients in activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Trains and assigns work to CNAs.
- Preference for individuals with long‑term care experience and a current unencumbered Wyoming LPN license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Wyoming.

- Medical record maintenance and reporting.
- Nursing and scientific processes.
- Public healthcare functions and essential services.
- Medical diagnosis and treatment application.
- Scientific concepts in decision making.
- Physical, biological, behavioral sciences.
- Evaluation services according to standards.
- Work management, leadership theory, and practice.
- Federal, state, and local laws pertaining to healthcare.
- Associate's Degree (typically in Nursing).
- 0‑2 years progressive nursing experience at LPN level.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an LPN in Wyoming.
- LPN license or eligibility to apply in Wyoming.
- Lift medical/patient equipment up to about 50 lbs.
- Work evenings, nights, and/or weekends as required.
- FLSA:
Non‑exempt - A background check, including fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, Department of Family Services, and FBI.
- Annual TB testing required.
- Compliance with CMS COVID‑19 rules.
- Pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing.
- Wyoming Department of Health is an E‑Verify employer.
- New state employees and temporary employees accepting a permanent position.
- Current state employees accepting a promotional opportunity (recruitment must have been open to the public).
- One year of service required; failure to complete will result in reimbursement.
- Internal candidates must remain in position minimum 1 year from promotion date.
- Only one hiring bonus per 12‑month period.
