General Description
The State of Wyoming is looking for a skilled Senior HVAC Technician to maintain the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in multiple government buildings. This critical role allows you to work on a variety of HVAC systems, troubleshoot issues, and directly contribute to the efficiency and comfort of state facilities across Wyoming.

- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Install and replace HVAC units, ducts, and related components.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems and ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
- Document service and maintenance work.
- Work in a collaborative environment where team members support each other in delivering high‑quality results.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work in tight, confined spaces.
- Ability to work comfortably at a variety of heights.
- Ability to walk great distances throughout the facility.
- FLSA:
Non‑Exempt, hourly. - Employment is subject to the successful applicant passing a background check.

QualificationsPreferences: Preference will be given to those applicants with HVAC Journeyman or equivalent technician license, or an EPA license.
Knowledge: Knowledge of refrigeration cycle, refrigerants, air conditioning, and related air handling equipment. Knowledge of acceptable practices, methods, and tools used in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC‑R equipment.
Minimum Qualifications: 3‑4 years of progressive work experience (typically in HVAC) with acquired knowledge at the level of an HVAC Specialist.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Agency may require an EPA License.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: 0‑1 year of progressive work experience (typically in HVAC) with acquired knowledge at the level of an HVAC Specialist.
