You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them. Maintain and clean small boats, docking facilities; assist guests with canoe, kayak and motor boat rentals;

check and cast off cruise boats.

• Prepare marina for opening (unchain canoes, bail boats, start motors, clean boats, fill fuel tanks).
• Keep dock area, ramps and general marina area clean.
• Ferry boat owners to buoys as necessary.
• Cast off and dock cruise boats.
• Ready boats for guest rentals, issue life jackets, ensure boat is properly equipped.
• Instruct guest in safe and proper operation of motor boats or procedure for paddling a canoe or kayak.
• Ensure all boats are securely tied down nightly.
• Ensure all fuel tank lines removed from small boats and stowed in designated areas.
• Ensure life jackets are stowed away and wet ones hung to dry.
• Report all damage to small boats and outboard engines to Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Pump diesel fuel and gas; dispense oil; handle cash and credit card sales, etc., on gas dock.
• Close out fuel dock, audit fuel tanks, and provide necessary paperwork to accounting on a daily basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Current First Aid and CPR Certification
• Strong verbal English skills
• Basic knowledge of boats, canoes, and kayaks
• Ability to speak to groups of people
