Situated alongside the North Platte River, this 362‑acre park features a range of nature viewing opportunities and outdoor activities, including a 3‑mile paved hiking trail. As a team member, you'll work in a beautiful natural setting, keeping the park safe and well‑maintained while providing visitors with exceptional experiences through educational, cultural, and recreational activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.
Seasonal Visitor Services Associate – Fee Collector- Greet visitors, collect admission fees, and provide excellent customer service.
- Answer visitor questions and provide pertinent information about the site, including interpretation and orientation of facilities and local points of interest.
- Handle monetary transactions, including fee collection.
- Responsible for cash register reconciliation.
- Answer a multi‑line telephone system, transferring calls to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with general administrative duties, reports, and data entry.
- Perform opening and closing duties, as well as cleaning and maintenance as needed.
- Provide janitorial services in the building and assist the Fee Supervisor with special projects and events.
- Assist all North Platte District sites with special projects and events.
- Assist with the development and delivery of educational and recreational programs.
- Perform routine building, grounds, and landscape maintenance, minor carpentry repairs, painting, and mowing.
- Assist staff in the construction, installation, maintenance, and renovation of grounds and buildings, and preventive maintenance.
- Clean and service restrooms, shelters, and buildings, and remove litter from grounds, parking lots, and other public areas.
- Operate and/or drive a variety of vehicles, including light and heavy equipment.
- Operate various maintenance equipment, including mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and other equipment required in daily operations.
- Utilize various hand and power tools.
- Follow proper handling and safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and fuel products encountered in daily operations, including proper Personal Protective Equipment usage.
- Provide excellent customer service. May interact with the visiting public, answering basic questions.
- Assist all North Platte District sites with special projects and events.
- Assist with the development and delivery of educational and recreational programs.
