Walden Security is currently offering a sign‑on bonus of $1,000 paid after 90 days. They are recruiting experienced Court Security Officers. CSOs will provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract.

• Perform entrance control:
  Enforce the District's entry and identification system, operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, prohibited items.
• Perform roving patrol:
  Patrol court facilities and grounds in accordance with applicable post orders.
• Perform stationary post assignments:
  Stand guard at stationary posts monitoring CCTV, duress alarms, courtrooms, judge chambers, jury rooms.
• Perform escort duties:
  Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals.
• Perform garage parking and pedestrian control:
  Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties as described.
• Enforce law and order:
  Detain anyone attempting unauthorized access or acts threatening safety of government employees, property, and the public.
• Prepare reports and records:
  Document any incidents such as labor hours, accidents, fire, bomb threats, incidents within the court facility area.
• Court attendance:
  Secure unattended courtrooms, inspect prior to proceedings, test security devices.
• Preserve order:
  Provide security presence in courtroom, enforce federal law, judicial orders, local court rules.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED.
• Experience:
  
  At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law‑enforcement officer or equivalent, all within the last seven (7) years, with general arrest authority.
• Language:
  Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  Valid driver's license, DOJ clearance, completion of certified federal, state, or local law‑enforcement academy.
• Other:
  Minimum 21 years, pass pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Physical:
  Meet medical standards of USMS; reasonable accommodations may be made.
