Summary

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for identifying and supporting contract/procurement opportunities across multiple properties to maximize leverage, reduce expense, establish common standards, and implement effective contracts that define the scope and terms of the required goods and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Takes initiative with operations and supports leadership to assess strategic sourcing needs. Analyzes spend, coordinates requirements, defines scope, and determines a suitable base of suppliers, including but not limited to diverse and women owned, that are capable and qualified to perform the work. Assists with development and project scope of RFPs as needed.
  • Coordinates with Strategic Sourcing leadership to determine appropriate course of action on regional or national agreements. Develops, writes, negotiates, and obtains appropriate approvals of contracts and/or purchase orders to support these actions.
  • Ensures that properties are coordinated in the procurement needs, that maximum national and regional leverage and efficiency are obtained, that there is a drive for common items to the extent it makes sense, and that properties comply with regional and national contract agreements and other commitments.
  • Leads development of catalogs in P2P system for assigned goods/services supported by contracts and/or pricing agreements.
  • Reviews and approves bids for all major purchases for assigned categories to ensure securing the most advantageous terms in relation to price, quantity, quality, service level and delivery schedule.
  • Researches and communicates with existing and potential suppliers to cultivate working relationships, negotiates cost effective purchase orders and contracts, and develops most advantageous price, quality, and service in all agreements.
  • Partners with suppliers to establish and manage service level agreements. Makes improvements as needed for efficiency. Escalates issues to Manager.
  • Instills procurement discipline with internal stakeholders.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; or one year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have working knowledge of hotel/casino industry supply chain functions. Experience with financial modeling, cost analysis, sourcing category strategy development preferred.
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Experience with procurement operations, ERP, eProcurement, eCatalog, cXML, eRFX and eAuction strategies and technologies preferred.
  • Ability to data mine from various systems, manage large data sets, extract and format data, and prepare interpretative analysis.
  • Ability to develop and maintain sophisticated financial models.
  • Must have strong work ethic with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and independently, in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to take loosely defined requirements, interpret needs, determine data sources, prepare basic modeling and graphic representations, and adjust as a model is developed.
  • Must have working knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and procurement, in addition to a working knowledge of contracts, contracting best practices, and contract management.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Salary

Starting at $63,000 annually, based on experience.
