Summary of Position

Take heart and join the clinical Berks Cardiology staff in Wyomissing, PA. Located on Keiser Boulevard, this office operates during weekday daytime hours, leaving evenings, weekends, and holidays available for personal time.

As a Medical Assistant with Berks Cardiology, you will work closely with your assigned Advanced Providers or Physicians on their daily schedule. You will record vital signs, complete patient rooming, conduct EKGs, and oversee device scheduling.

The Penn State Health Berks Cardiology team sees an average of 118 patients per day, so prior experience in a fast-paced medical office is ideal. Dependability and a background in cardiology/telemetry is a plus. Interested? Apply today!

Responsibilities
  • Record patient vital signs and assist with rooming.
  • Perform EKGs and assist with procedures as directed.
  • Manage device scheduling and coordinate with Advanced Providers or Physicians on the daily schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90 days of employment, or current active status as a CMA or RMA through approved agencies.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS within 6 months of employment date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred.
