General Merchandise and Food Sales team members support inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes across GM areas. They conduct inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance, pricing processes, and support pick, pack, and ship fulfillment to guests. The role emphasizes guest service, safety, and compliance while enabling efficient store operations.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs during daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and thank them for shopping at Target.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize the backroom, arrange merchandise, and post promotional signage for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment certified for moving merchandise or store fixtures where applicable.
• Execute pricing, merchandising setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking/packing orders, delivery/pickup support) while complying with applicable laws.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business priorities.

• Flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).

• Attention to detail; ability to follow multi-step processes; maintain composure in a fast-paced setting.
• Capable of handling cash operations as needed; physical ability to lift up to 44 pounds; climb ladders; work in varying temperatures and conditions.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility for schedule needs.
