Independent Optometrist – Walmart (Wytheville, VA)

Schedule: Full-time

Launch your services in Walmart stores. As an independent lease holder, you will lead patient care for eye and vision health and general well‑being.

• Provide comprehensive eye examinations and vision care, including refraction, ocular health assessments, and functionality testing.
• Manage the process of patient scheduling and fee collection, keeping 100% of exam and professional fees.
• Establish and maintain your own practice days, hours of operation, and patient flow.
• Maintain a high standard of care and adhere to Walmart’s safety and quality policies.
• Operate equipment and instrumentation within the Walmart store.
• Optionally provide administrative or opt‑tech support services when permissible by state regulations.

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Valid state optometry license.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in Ophthalmology from an accredited program.
• Valid state ophthalmology license.
• General liability certificate.
• Professional liability insurance certificate.
• Completed W‑9 form.
• Compliance with Gumberg Asset Management Company lease agreements for the Maryland and Virginia locations.
