Job Description SUMMARYControls the process, maintains quality standards and ensures continuous improvement of the total blow molding process to include: blow molding machines, vision systems, and laser dating systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLeads the blow molding team members assigned to the shift and is the first point of contact for operators.
Ensures team members are working in a safe manner and identifies and corrects unsafe work practices.
Ensures plant quality standards are being met and maintained by the department.
Controls the process of multiple blow molding machines using written work instructions, visual management, and computer interface.
Evaluates and improves operator's skill level and assist in training operators.
Troubleshoots and performs adjustments to the machines to correct improper functions.
Assists with new machine setups.
Performs preventive maintenance on machines.
Reviews process data daily to ensure department is meeting or exceeding efficiency requirements.
Completes downtime reports and error logs.
Effectively communicates issues to the shift supervisor, packaging technicians, and production manager.
Provides coverage for operator breaks.
Ensures the department maintains a clean work environment.

EDUCATIONHigh School diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
