Looking for a general labor position with great pay? Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Packaging | General Labor positions in Wytheville, VA. Details for Packaging | General Labor position: $20 / Hour 6:45am-7pm OR 6:45pm-7am Full-Time | Temporary Positions Zero Fees - you'll never be charged for any screening service Weekly Pay Will train for two weeks on 1st shift, M-F, 6:45am to 3pm before going to assigned shift.
Job Duties for Packaging | General Labor:- Operate packaging machines while adhering to safety standards and identifying unsafe practices
- Utilize written instructions, visual management, and computer interfaces for machine operation
- Continuously evaluate and enhance skill levels
- Troubleshoot and adjust machines to resolve malfunctions
- Assist with new machine setups and perform preventive maintenance
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding issues
- Participate in daily Packaging Team meetings
- Maintain a clean work environment in the department
- Follow all policies, safety procedures, and quality standards in place
- Completes any other related tasks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-3 months of related experience/training, or a combination of education and experience
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Speak effectively to groups of customers or employees
- Perform basic arithmetic operations in various measurement units
- Compute rates, ratios, and percentages
- Solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb stairs, and reach
