Job description

Twist Aero is currently seeking a qualified, experienced Electrician. This position will be a part of our equipment installation and will work closely with the other skilled trade employees in the install and setup of aviation equipment at commercial airports. This position will mainly consist of making wiring connections for these systems, as well as performing troubleshooting during the install process.

Other job requirements will be assisting the installation team. The ideal candidate can work independently as well as part of a team, enjoys a fast‑paced work environment, and values safety, quality, and high achievement.
Travel is required. Twist Inc has been in the manufacturing business sector since 1971 and supports a multitude of industries including: automotive, medical, military and aviation (Twist Aero). Twist currently operates nine(9) manufacturing facilities with over 600,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 300 employees in Xenia and Jamestown, Ohio. This particular position would be in the Twist Aero aviation business, which includes the following commercial equipment:
Pre‑Conditioned Air Units, the Boom‑Air Hose Management System and Ground Power Units. Twist Aero is respected, well known manufacturer and installation contractor for commercial aviation HVAC products in North America.

Key Duties
  • Install and maintain wiring and control systems
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
  • Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools

    Read technical schematics and blueprints
  • Install junction boxes
  • Ensure electrical safety of self, teammates and others while on jobsite
  • Read engineering drawings and schematics
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems on refrigeration equipment
  • Assist in general construction duties

General Requirements
  • Must have experience in electrical field
  • Must have knowledge of three‑phase motors
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code
  • Excellent mechanical skills required
  • Ability to see and hear industrial equipment as it moves around the job‑site
  • Capable of working alone up to 10 hours carrying out assigned tasks
  • Extensive Nationwide travel required
  • Ohio Electricians License (preferred)
Physical Requirements
  • Capable of lifting 25-50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, work at heights, and climb ladders throughout the day
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Working on an active airport tarmac
Background Verification Requirements
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Passport or ability to obtain one (company paid)
  • Insurable to drive company vehicles and equipment
  • Must be able to pass Airport Badge Application or background check for job‑site access
