INSTRUCTOR
HEATING, VENTILATION, AIR CONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM (DAY)
This is a full‑time, year‑round teaching appointment in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology program.
Working hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM – 4:40 PM. This position reports to the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology Department Head.
Working ConditionsTeaching duties are performed in a classroom and lab environment. The role aligns with the career and technical education field, involving lesson planning, lecturing, supervising students in a simulated lab environment, and performing administrative tasks such as word processing, telephone calls, and emails.
Salary range: $75,000 – $80,000 per year. The full wage scale increases by three percent annually over the duration of employment, subject to annual budget approval.

- Three (3) years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught.
- Eligible to obtain the 06A license within 180 days of employment (or possess it).
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with business and professional constituents.
- Proficiency in operating a computer.
- Ability to drive on behalf of Perry Technical Institute; must possess a working vehicle, valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance.
- Willingness to consent to a drug test.
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and effectively communicating in English.
- Certificate of completion from an accredited career school in the subject area(s) taught or an associate degree.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Excellent lecture skills.
- Knowledge and skill in industry.
- Ability to integrate industry scenarios and role‑playing into instruction.
