Job Title
Avionics Technician – Cub Crafters, Inc.
Position SummaryResponsible for performing avionics and electrical installations and repairs under supervised direction.
Responsibilities- Perform new and retrofit installations of avionics systems, including instrument panels, LRUs, antennas, electrical distribution, and bussing.
- Fabricate, test and install wiring harnesses.
- Assemble and install electromechanical components, such as autopilot servos and electric motors.
- Read and interpret manufacturers' installation instructions and Cub Crafters mechanical drawings.
- Read and interpret manufacturer's and Cub Crafters wiring diagrams.
- Perform pre and post installation configuration and testing of aircraft instruments and avionics, including pitot static, altimeter and transponder tests.
- Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems.
- Accurately document all work performed in accordance with company and FAA requirements.
- Consistently completes assigned tasks on time and within budget.
- Conducts work professionally, fostering positive relationships with peers and supervisors.
- Demonstrates continuous learning and self‑improvement in all job functions.
- Familiarity with FAR Part 145 and AC43.13‑1B and –2B.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in avionics manufacturing or modification.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong wire harness fabrication skills, including crimping and soldering of wire and coax cable.
- Strong electrical and avionics troubleshooting skills.
- Wire harness routing and securement skills.
- Technical, analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Garmin G3X systems experience.
- Airframe certificate.
- Part 145 repair station experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Pay: DOE – $17.50 to $24.00 per hour.
- Sick leave benefit exceeding WA State law requirements.
- Six paid holidays annually.
- One week paid vacation after Year 1; two weeks after Year 2.
