With over 240 employees, Triumph is a leader in landing‑gear actuation and the sole supplier of critical release holdback bars used for launching U.S. Navy fighter jets from aircraft carriers.
Position:3rd Shift Sunday – Thursday / 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Shift premium: 15% added to the base hourly rate.
SummaryIndependently perform a variety of complex precision machining operations utilizing CNC or manual controlled machine tools to produce components to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC and manually controlled machines such as lathes, milling machines, precision grinders, gun drills, etc. to make aerospace parts according to sketches.
- Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments to verify drawing and work order requirements.
- Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work and tooling.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with manufacturing plans, quality plans, and engineering drawings.
- Ensure part quality by adjusting machine controls as necessary.
- Meet production deadlines by following the manufacturing schedule and procedures.
- Work with support resources and cell leaders to resolve production problems when they arise.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and contributing to risk‑mitigation management teams.
- Contribute to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude.
- Continuously strive to find ways to make manufacturing processes more efficient and effective.
- Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools, following best machining practices.
- Clean machines, tooling, and parts and perform machine TPM requirements.
- Participate in FOD, 5S, TPM, PM, and process‑improvement programs.
- May train others on job tasks they are proficient in.
- Stand or walk up to 8 hours/day while performing these duties.
- Use close vision and depth perception as required.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- CNC lathe/mill-turn/mill operators with experience using inspection tools required.
- Technical degree in a related field preferred.
- Tuition reimbursement of $5,350.00 per academic year.
- Three (3) years of experience running and setting up manually controlled machine tools; one (1) year of experience with multi‑axis CNC machine tools.
- Seven (7) years of experience running and setting up manually controlled machine tools, and/or five (5) years of experience with multi‑axis CNC machine tools.
- Precision measuring tools, gauges, and other inspection devices.
- Part drawings/blueprints, dimensioning, and tolerancing, including GD&T.
- Shop math.
- Basic understanding and application of GD&T, CNC machine tools, G‑code, and DNC controls.
- Machine preventative and corrective maintenance and machine troubleshooting.
- Experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste‑reduction concepts.
- Position pay range: $24.00 – $39.26 per hour, adjusted by education level, qualifications, and experience.

The work environment involves sitting, talking, and hearing while standing, walking, and using hands for tools and controls. Reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl may be required, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
