Staffed by approximately 750 employees, the hospital features a unique single-stay cardiac unit, Level I Cardiac and Level II Stroke centers, and a Level III trauma designation, with ongoing investments in technology.
Job Description
The Director of Surgical Services provides leadership in creating a professional environment, supports departmental goals, collaborates with ancillary departments, and reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
The role oversees:
Care for outpatients pre- and post-procedure, pre-op interviews, and follow-up, with a 9-bay unit equipped with necessary facilities.
Management of perioperative care across 6 main ORs, 1 endoscopy room, and 1 cardio/thoracic room, with 24/7 on-call support.
Instrument sterilization for the hospital and clinics.
Qualifications
Washington State RN License required; experience preferred. Three to five years as a head or staff nurse demonstrating administrative and supervisory skills; critical care experience preferred.
