  • Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)

Psychiatric Registered Nurse Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience in behavioral health
  • Active Washington State RN license
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Proficient in psychiatric assessments, de-escalation, and safe use of physical restraints
  • Experience with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
  • Open to first-time travel nurses
Psychiatric RN Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with mental health diagnoses including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, suicidal ideation, and dementia with behavioral disturbances
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and implement physical restraints safely as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Accurately document patient care and nursing interventions using EPIC EMR
  • Float to Medical-Surgical units as required
  • Participate in scheduled weekend rotations
