American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Float Pool position requiring 2 years of experience and WA or compact RN licensure.

• Float Pool position within a 226-bed non-profit community hospital
• Patient population includes post-surgical, stroke, oncology, CHF, COPD, respiratory, GI, ortho total joints, and COVID patients
• Adult patients primarily, with possible pediatric assignments for experienced staff
• Occasional total care assignments with CNA-level responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour day or night shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to 2EW, 2NW, 3EW, 3NW, 5th floor, and ER for Med/Surg holds

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must pass tele exam during compliance process
• PALS certification preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Proficiency in general Med/Surg skills including chest tubes, trachs, PICC/midlines/central lines, foleys, NG tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, and ostomy care
• Ability to collect labs from central lines if needed
• Peds and psych experience preferred but not required

• Provide direct patient care across a variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Scrubs must be any solid color with no graphics or designs
