Job Overview

Join Target as an On-Demand Guest Advocate (Cashier) and be part of a team that delivers exceptional guest experiences. As a Guest Advocate, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, assisting guests with their needs, and promoting Target's products and services.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and helping them with their needs
• Scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
• Make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
• Understand and show guests how to use Wallet and other features and offerings within the Target App
• Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with leaders as needed to help solve for the guest
• Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store open hours

• Communicate effectively and remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Capability to work independently and with a team
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
• Attention to detail while multi-tasking
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
• Accurately handle cash register operations, cash transactions, and support cash office operations as needed
