Job DescriptionCreate an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:
- Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.
- Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
- Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
- Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
- Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return bascarts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
- Handle seasonal merchandise and assist with price checks and store layout navigation.
- Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and perform equipment inspections.
- Create a welcoming environment, answer product questions, and comply with laws and company policies.
- Work cooperatively in high-paced environments, manage conflicts, and act with honesty and integrity.
- Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Customer Service skills
- Effective communication skills
Experience:
- Retail experience preferred but not necessary
