REIC Rentals (Pro Rentals & Sales) in Yakima, Washington is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll handle inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of rental equipment. You'll ensure that every machine that leaves our yard meets the highest standards of safety and performance – helping our customers keep their projects running on time and on budget.

What You’ll Do- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline‑powered equipment of all sizes.
- Inspect returned equipment for damage and perform necessary repairs or servicing.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, annual inspections, and turnaround services as needed.
- Operate and test equipment (over 10,000 lbs) to verify performance and safety.
- Look up and order parts accurately; track labor and materials used for repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with customers, service, and rental teams to ensure equipment is rent‑ready.
- Stay flexible and responsive to daily workflow and customer demands.
You are a reliable, safety-minded technician with strong mechanical skills and a desire to do quality work.
Top Candidates Will Have- 3+ years of hands‑on experience working on construction or heavy equipment, gas and diesel, small and large sized equipment.
- Solid understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrains.
- Ability to multi‑task, work independently, and prioritize effectively.
- A clean driving record (violation‑free for the past 3 years).
- A personal set of hand tools for general repair and maintenance tasks.
- Flexibility to occasionally work Saturdays.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs or more multiple times per day.
- A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and professionalism.

Salary: $28.00 - $37.00 per hour
