We are currently recruiting for a Construction Supervisor, SMP to join our growing project team in Oman.
Responsibilities- Manage the quality of output of the allocated project site discipline activities, ensuring alignment with company, client, regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Manage the technical competence of the discipline contractor(s), ensuring that the allocated site activities meet the requirements of the client and their projects in accordance with the contract, drawings and specifications.
- Manage the various procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to ensure the contractor’s site team works efficiently and maintains a consistent approach and consistently high standard of work.
- Ensure safety, environmental, community and industrial relations, and quality plans and procedures are adhered to by the contractor.
- Strong background in site construction and supervision with a broad multidisciplinary base in mineral processing plant/infrastructure construction.
- Strong background, training and awareness of statutory and industry standards in OHSE, IR and HR.
- Strong background in the technical and quality control requirements of the specific work discipline.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge in contract management and controls.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Managerial‑leadership ability.
- Capacity to delegate appropriately.
- Capacity for clear thinking and planning.
- Capacity to evaluate work practices, implement and suggest alternatives and refinements where necessary.
- Ability to articulate and exemplify the purpose and ethos of the organization.
- Ability to work effectively with occasional supervision with consistently high degree of accuracy and produce high quality deliverables.
- Experience as an iron worker or pipefitter would be essential.
- Experience supervising erection of steel structures and tanks as well as installation of SAG and ball mills strongly preferred.
