As a Recreation Therapy Associate, you will report to the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, col laboring with healthcare teams to provide recreational interventions. Engage clients in meaningful activities that align with their therapy goals in various healthcare settings, ensuring a person-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate recreational therapy programs tailored to client needs
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in program development
• Utilize effective communication to engage patients
• Adapt interventions for diverse populations and changing environments
• Document and understand medical terminology for client care
Requirements:
• Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation or equivalent
• BLS - C certification mandatory
• Class 4 driver's license required
• Experience with disabled populations
• Effective team collaboration and independent working abilities
