The File Maintenance Clerk is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The Clerk will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs, and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
Responsibilities- Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures
- Keep work area clean, safe, and presentable at all times
- Demonstrate product knowledge; remain aware of product changes and seasonal requirements
- Use appropriate computer applications and pricing program, ensuring pricing data is inputted and that price changes are activated
- Monitor and edit discontinued and deleted items
- Ensure accurate verification of shelf tags to computer file, warehouse prices, and detail order books
- Ensure daily price change printouts are reviewed and price change batches are reconciled
- Ensure data from file server is imported, changes are verified, and data is transferred to POS
- Ensure shelf labels, signage, and displays are created and displayed to company standards
- Ensure various item reports are prepared and forwarded to appropriate departments
- Train junior staff, as required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Above average communication skills (oral and written)
- Demonstrated initiative and motivation with a commitment to teamwork
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to understand and implement Store Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Previous experience working in a grocery store environment is considered an asset
- May be required to lift up to 20 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and complete physical work including but not limited to bending, lifting, and reaching
