MRI Technologist at Shields Health
Shields Health Care Group’s MRI Technologists support the integrity of the organization with their commitment to excellence. The MRI technologist provides a professional, caring atmosphere to all patient groups, while maintaining a fast‑paced, multi‑tasked oriented clinical environment.
Full‑time position, Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm.
What You Will Do- Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
- Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
- Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
- Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
- Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
- Perform scan in accordance with center’s protocol.
- Administer intravenous contrast.
- Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
- Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
- Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
- Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
- Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
- Clean and re‑supply equipment and rooms as needed.
- Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
- Prior MRI scanning experience.
- Required certifications: MRI/ARRT/CPR; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
- Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
- Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
- Some inpatient locations may require participation in a call schedule/rotation.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty‑five pounds.
- Physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation.
Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
