Allied Universal is currently hiring a full‑time Armed Security Officer for a state facility in South Yarmouth, MA.

Job schedule:

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 AM – 6 PM.

Starting pay: $23.79 per hour. Paid orientation and training.

Candidate requirements:
Concealed carry permit and at least 1 year of previous security experience.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, supporting a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any security‑related concerns according to site protocols.
• Interact with staff and visitors in a professional manner while maintaining awareness of surroundings.
• Operate as an armed security professional in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.
• Document incidents and security‑related activities clearly and accurately in required reports.
• Assist local law enforcement or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies on location.

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Allied Universal will subject applicants to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
