Salary: £30,014.40 to £37,003.20 per annum for 40 hours per week (42.4 weeks per year)

Responsibilities
  • Lead classroom activities including planning, teaching, and assessing learning for small classes of 5-7 neurodiverse learners ages 16-25.
  • Monitor and record progress academically and against EHCP outcomes.
  • Engage learners in community based learning and 1:1 or small group support.
  • Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants and integrated therapies team to deliver bespoke curriculum.
  • Recognise risk of learner progress and seek improvement, ensuring tailored support for independence or employment goals.
Qualifications
  • Patience, compassion, and resilience—All of the learners you’ll support will be neurodiverse, which may impact their learning behaviour and communication needs.
  • Excellent communication skills—This is important in this role as you’ll be speaking to a lot of different people at different times, whether it be learners, parents, or other stakeholders.
  • Experience with EHCPs and shaping curriculum based on individual outcomes.
  • Flexibility and adaptability—Not all days go to plan, you’ll need to be comfortable dealing with change.
  • Genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide of needs.
