  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Assisting with small group activities when appropriate
This role could be perfect if you have:
  • A genuine interest in working with children
  • A calm, patient and positive approach
  • Good communication and relationship‑building skills
  • The ability to stay consistent and encouraging, even on challenging days
  • Experience working with children or young people in any setting (coaching, youth work, childcare, care work or volunteering) is helpful but not essential
What you'll receive:
  • Pay from £14.25 per hour
    , with opportunities for progression
  • Weekly PAYE pay
  • Free access to a wide range of CPD and SEND training
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated Protocol Education consultant
  • Valuable classroom experience with opportunities for longer‑term and permanent roles

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

  • Right to work in the UK

This is a long‑term role supporting a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), subject to review.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments are subject to satisfactory safeguarding and compliance checks.

If you're looking for a rewarding role where every day makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to take your first step into education.
