CNC / Manual Machine Trainer (Full Training Provided)

Yate, Bristol

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 + Pension + Holiday + Full Training

Are you from a machining or workshop background and ready to step into a more structured, less pressured working environment?

Do you want to use your hands‑on engineering experience to develop the next generation, without the long hours, production targets or shop‑floor pressure?

This is a rare opportunity to join a specialist, growing training provider with an excellent reputation for quality and stability. They are known for investing in their people, providing full training and support to help you transition into a rewarding teaching career.

You’ll be part of a close‑knit, professional team where the focus is on development, not output targets. The environment is structured, supportive and far more predictable than a traditional workshop, giving you a better work‑life balance while still staying connected to your trade.

This is not about becoming a teacher overnight – it’s about taking what you already know from industry and applying it in a new way. You’ll be fully trained, supported and gradually developed into the role.

Working in a well‑equipped workshop environment, you’ll support and guide learners through practical engineering skills such as manual machining, bench fitting and general workshop techniques, helping them build confidence and competence in their trade.

The Role:
  • Deliver hands‑on workshop‑based training in manual machining and engineering skills
  • Support learners through practical tasks such as turning, milling and bench fitting
  • Provide guidance, feedback and encouragement to help learners develop
  • Work in a structured environment with clear processes and support
  • Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment
  • Full training provided into teaching, assessing and development
The Person :
  • Background in a workshop environment (manual machining, milling, turning or similar)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or a related technical subject
  • Strong practical skills and attention to detail
  • Good communicator with a willingness to support others
  • Looking to move into a more stable, structured and less physically demanding role
  • No teaching experience required – full training will be provided

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer. Rise are not responsible or liable for any hiring decisions made by the end client.

We are an equal opportunities company and welcome applications from all suitable candidates.
