JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Cleaner to work at a Supermarket in Chipping Sodbury, BS37.

General Cleaning

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum shop floors, aisles, and entrances
• Clean and sanitise shelves, counters, and display areas
• Empty bins and dispose of waste correctly
• Dust and wipe down fixtures, equipment, and surfaces

Customer Areas

• Clean entrances, trolley bays, and checkout areas
• Keep aisles free from spills, debris, and hazards
• Maintain a tidy and welcoming store environment

Washrooms & Staff Areas

• Clean and sanitise staff toilets and facilities
• Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Maintain cleanliness in staff rooms and break areas

Spill Response & Safety

• Respond quickly to spills and breakages
• Use appropriate signage (e.g. wet floor signs) to prevent accidents
• Report hazards, damages, or maintenance issues

Health & Safety

• Follow all hygiene, cleaning, and safety procedures
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
• Comply with company policies and food hygiene standards

Essential Skills & Qualities

• Previous Cleaning experience
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Physically fit (able to stand, bend, and lift)
• Basic understanding of cleaning duties and hygiene

Desirable

• Previous retail cleaning experience
• Knowledge of health and safety or COSHH guidelines

• Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 5am-1pm - 30 hours paid per week
• Fast-paced retail environment
• Physically active role

£12.71 per hour
